Isaiah 26:3

“The first part of being saved is receiving Christ and being born of His Spirit so that He dwells in us.  He is our salvation.  But, then, from that point on, there is a healing and transformation process that takes place in the mind.  Satan, in his evaluation and observation of us, sees that he has lost our soul to Christ and he can’t take our soul away from the Lord; so he tries to occupy the attention of our minds so we cannot be focused on the Lord, so we cannot be fixed on Him and His Word and receive the healing and transformation that God wants to make.  We’re either too busy, or we’re too exhausted, or too focused on other things.”

This week’s Friday Featured Study comes from our 2013 series in Isaiah.

In this study of Isaiah chapter 26, Pastor Bill focuses in on verse 3, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.  Pastor Bill explains the importance of having a mind stayed on Christ especially in light of MERIMNAO ~ Satan’s only weapon against a believer in Christ.  He also explains perfect peace and its two parts: (1) being at peace with the Lord and (2) experiencing the peace of the Lord.

This is a fantastic study and one worth revisiting often.
